St. George Mom & Family at Tuacahn

Christmas in the Canyon held every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday through December 22^nd from 6:30-9pm at Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Ivins, Utah. Free to see the lights and visit Santa Claus. The Live Nativity plays at 7pm & 8pm and is $2 a person. The Old Salty Train Ride and the Holiday Hay Ride are also $2 a person. Map & Driving Directions

Christmas Music Festival for Dixie Care and Share December 22, 2012 from 11am – 8pm. This is a Christmas music festival for charity and ticket price is only one can of food per person. Of course extras are gladly accepted. All food donated will go to the Dixie Care and Share shelter. The event is located at 301 North 2200 East in St. George, Utah.

Lineup includes: Quite the Titan, Chuck Emery, Alison Wagner, Kyna Hafen, The Message, Foxtale, Wirelefant, Dirty Mike & the Boys Jazz Combo, Colton Campbell, Kyle Owens, and more.  If you are interested in joining the lineup e-mail: quietthetitan@gmail.com. Christmas music is recommended, but not required.

Christmas Light Show throughout December every day from 7-9pm. Located at 445 W. Heritage Drive in St. George, Utah. The main event will be held December 22, 2012. The main event is presented by Kuhn’s Home Repair and Air and will include Santa Claus, hot chocolate, hot dogs, lasers, bubbles, synchronized music, Planet 94.1FM and more. This is a free event, but any donations made will go to B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse).

12/21/12 End of the World Party For ages 16+ at the Dance Factory. The Mayan Calendar predicts the end of the world, so why not go out in style. Friday, December 21, 2012 be at the Dance Factory, 25 North 300 West in Washington, Utah at 9pm – Midnight. This event is for ages 16+ and is $5 a person. Free glow things and giveaways! DJ03L, DJ Fayze, and DJ Lex will be there.

Christmas at the St. George Recreation Center Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 6-9pm. Ring in the holidays with games, crafts, goodies, and a visit from the Big Guy. Decorate and bring a personal sleigh for a snowed in movie. The cost is general admission or a member pass. Located at 400 E. 285 S. in St. George, UT. Call 435-627-4560 for more info.

The Living Nativity presented by the Fine Arts of Hurricane City. This is the 3rd annual theatrical version of the “Living Nativity” Featuring the Hurricane Community Choir December 15th at 6:30pm and 8pm. The Hurricane Community Choir will be singing traditional and not so traditional favorites at 7pm. Held at the Hurricane Community Center. www.cityofhurricane.com

Staheli Family Farm Live Nativity December 15, 17, 18, & 19th at 7pm (Santa will be there Saturday, Dec 15th at 11am too!). Staheli Family Farm December 10-12, 15, 17-19^th from 5:30-8:30pm each night. Free Event! Celebrate the Season with the Staheli Farms first annual “North Pole Experience.” Meet Santa, interact with his live reindeer, and play games with the elves. At 7pm watch the farm tradition of a live nativity. Listen to stories, sing Christmas carols, and have some delicious treats. Staheli Family Farm is located at 3400 So. Movie Monday at Jumpin Jacks December 10, 2012. This "Movie Monday" is starring Santa at 5:30pm and "Arthur Christmas" at 6pm.  Don't forget to bring your camera to take pictures with Santa! Admission after 5pm on Movie Mondays is just $5 per jumper and comes with a lot of cool stuff. Santa loves visitors at his home in the North Pole! Kids (and adults too!) will have the opportunity to talk to Mr. Claus himself, and tell him your Christmas wishes! Of course, Santa gets A LOT of wishes each year, so there will also be a chance to write to him and put a special letter in his magical mailbox.

What's the North Pole without Santa's reindeer and elves? You and your family and friends will have the chance to meet and interact with LIVE reindeer (including Rudolph himself!) and play games with the spirited elves!

LIVE NATIVITY
Remember the "Reason for the Season," and celebrate with us in our special live nativity. A holiday tradition that is in it's 11th year, come enjoy the story of Christmas. This heart warming production will fill Christmas joy in the hearts of all who come.

SFF EXPRESS
Everyone knows the story of the "Polar Express," but do you know the story of the "SFF Express?" Listen to this touching story as you travel by wagon up to the North Pole. Each person who "believes" will receive a special gift.

Zion Joy to the World in Springdale, Utah. On December 8, 2012 listen to "Soul What" at the Sol Food Supermarket Plaza, 995 Zion Park Blvd from 5:30-7:30pm. The Light Parade begins at 7pm at Canyon Springs Drive and ends at the Canyon Community Center. Watch videos on the website of the spectacular floats. Hurricane Dance Program presents The “Peanut-cracker” December 7th at 7pm and December 8th at 1pm. This is a short, condensed version of the “Nutcracker” along with a few surprises. Featuring the Hurricane Dance program students and the “Force” in Hurricane, UT. www.cityofhurricane.com

 

Holiday Social at the Tonaquint Nature Center December 8, 2012 from 10:30am - 12:30pm.  My family enjoys this event every year. We love the Nature Center! Admission is free and the activities are inexpensive and fun. Play games and look for the Penguins on a trail hunt. Follow the City of St. George on Facebook. 

Veyo Cinder Valley Lions Club invites everyone to visit Santa and have some punch and cookies on December 8th at 6pm at the Veyo Water Building on So. Spanish Trail Dr. in Veyo. Santa will arrive in the fire truck at 6 pm and will be there to visit until around 7pm. Follow Veyo Rodeo on Facebook.

Christmas in the Canyon every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday evenings through December 22, 2012 from 6:30-9pm. You can enjoy holiday performances, visit Santa, warm up near the bonfire and see the lights for free. There is a Live Nativity playing each night at 7pm & 8pm for 20 min. The cost is $2 per ticket or $15 per family. You can also ride the Old Salty Train Ride or the Holiday Hay Ride for the same price. Santa is coming to Jumpin' Jack's!! Santa will be coming to our "Movie Monday" this Monday, December 3, 2012. Bring your camera because Santa will arrive at 5:30pm for pictures with the kids.  Then your family will enjoy watching a free showing of "Arthur Christmas" beginning at 6pm. As always, the "Movie Monday" discounted admission is just $5 per jumper and includes a free small popcorn, unlimited play, and a movie showing. Tonight! November 26, 2012

St. George Mom & Family at Washington City Tree Lighting

Washington City’s Annual Tree Lighting is tonight at 6pm. Located at The Veteran's Park on Telegraph Street in Washington, UT. My family and I attend this event every year and enjoy hot chocolate, treats, and performances by local school choirs. We watch the tree light up and then run to see Santa Claus. It has become one of our family traditions.

Note: Not held at Nisson Park like years past.
