Zion Joy to the World in Springdale, Utah. On December 8, 2012 listen to "Soul What" at the Sol Food Supermarket Plaza, 995 Zion Park Blvd from 5:30-7:30pm. The Light Parade begins at 7pm at Canyon Springs Drive and ends at the Canyon Community Center. Watch videos on the website of the spectacular floats. Enjoy an ice cream social after the parade. www.zionjoy.com

Hurricane Dance Program presents The “Peanut-cracker” December 7th at 7pm and December 8th at 1pm. This is a short, condensed version of the “Nutcracker” along with a few surprises. Featuring the Hurricane Dance program students and the “Force” in Hurricane, UT. www.cityofhurricane.com

 

Holiday Social at the Tonaquint Nature Center December 8, 2012 from 10:30am - 12:30pm.  My family enjoys this event every year. We love the Nature Center! Admission is free and the activities are inexpensive and fun. Play games and look for the Penguins on a trail hunt. Follow the City of St. George on Facebook. 

Veyo Cinder Valley Lions Club invites everyone to visit Santa and have some punch and cookies on December 8th at 6pm at the Veyo Water Building on So. Spanish Trail Dr. in Veyo. Santa will arrive in the fire truck at 6 pm and will be there to visit until around 7pm. Follow Veyo Rodeo on Facebook.

St. George Mom & Family at Christmas in Tuacahn

Christmas in the Canyon every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday evenings through December 22, 2012 from 6:30-9pm. You can enjoy holiday performances, visit Santa, warm up near the bonfire and see the lights for free. There is a Live Nativity playing each night at 7pm & 8pm for 20 min. The cost is $2 per ticket or $15 per family. You can also ride the Old Salty Train Ride or the Holiday Hay Ride for the same price. Christmas Light Show throughout December from 7-9pm. This is St. George's biggest Christmas Light Show. Located at 445 W. Heritage Drive in St. George, Utah. Any donations will go to B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse).

Children’s Christmas Party December 8, 2012 at 2pm at the Washington City Library. Come watch the short classic “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” and enjoy some fun Christmas crafts. Free activity!

Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis 5K December, 8^th at Vernon Worthen Park, 300 S. 400 E. St. George, Utah. Registration is at 8am and the race begins at 10am. Support the Arthritis Foundation. Register on-line at www.stgeorgejinglebellrun.org

Champs RC Raceway 2^nd Annual Toys for Tots Race December 8, 2012. Track opens at 8am. Qualifying begins at noon. Trophies awarded following the race. Course information, entry fees, and more information at: www.champsrcraceway.com 435-627-6795

Breakfast With Santa December 8th from 9-11:25am. Held at the Opera House located at 212 N. Main Street in St. George. Presented by Community Education. Call for reservations at 435-652-7675. Breakfast is $5 per person or $7 at the door.

Public Safety Event Thursday, November 29th at 4pm. Watch the Fire and Police departments at the West Ridge Complex (formerly the old airport) test out the latest in public safety equipment. Winterfest in La Verkin December 1, 2012 The event starts off with a 5K and a free Frosty Fun Run. Afterwards you can watch the winter Wonderland Light Parade with local marching bands, school, businesses, and families. There is a Snowflake Pageant, a rock climbing wall, and a Winterfest Program. The evening ends with the classic Frosty the Snowman film and fireworks. Details at www.laverkin.org

Hurricane Valley Christmas Tree Festival November 29-December 1st: Thursday 5-9pm - Friday 2-9pm - Saturday 8am-6pm. This Festival is a free event! Breakfast with Santa is Saturday morning. Sign up for the Santa Stampede 5K held Saturday morning at 9am. Only $15.
