Live solar-powered music and a farmer’s market will be accompanied by vendors, activities and demonstrations about native plant sources, alternative energy, “Leave No Trace” principles, solar oven demonstrations, environmental art and sustainable products. Kids can participate in games and a reading of Dr. Suess’ “The Lorax”.

Silent auction, food and a beer garden, located on the lawn of the Bit & Spur Restaurant at 1212 Zion Park Boulevard from Noon to 5pm

All proceeds from this event benefit the town of Springdale’s efforts to convert all public facilities to solar power.

Personal Note: My kids are not in elementary school yet, but we have attended the kite festival. I pack a lunch and pick up $1 kites at Walmart. It is a lot of fun!

Kids and families chose to ride a 2.5 or 4.25 mile route. There will be a bike rodeo/safety course. The first 150 pre-registered kids will receive a free t-shirt & helmet. Sign up now at: www.sgcityrec.org or the St. George Rec Center.
We have participated the last 2 years and it has been so great to get new helmets for my kids. The Cactus Huggers are there to fit them to the kids' heads. The family ride as fun and the cold treats were great afterwards. We will be there!

"Held annually this is a full weekend event that brings students and professional artists together to create a colorful chalk explosion. With the asphalt as a canvas and chalk as the medium, large painted murals will unfold at the feet of thousands of spectators. Come on Saturday morning, the first day, to see the early sketches of the works and watch the student competition. Adults choose your favorite entry and be placed in a drawing to win a vacation package to Red Mountain Resort. The People's Choice winner and raffle winner will be announced Sunday at 5:30pm in the Cabaret Theatre.

Hurricane Valley Rotary Club 2012 Easter Car Show 9am-5pm.Located at the new Hurricane Community Center (100 West 100 South). Each year the Rotary Club of Hurricane Valley hosts approximately 8,000-10,000 visitors to the area for the Car Show. Your charitable donation of $5.00 gets you into the show and children under six (6) are free.
La Verkin City Easter Egg Hunt 9-9:30am. Easter Egg Hunt for children 0-12 years old. Located at 435 North Main in La Verkin, UT.

10th Anniversary!
Southern Utah's only BMX track. Located in Virgin, UT. An NBL sanctioned track. Everyone welcome!

The Virgin BMX track is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a gift for your membership renewal or new membership. All memberships expired at the end of 2011 so if you have not renewed already, go to www.usabmx.com and click on Membership Renewals under the Riders tab. You can look up your name using your old NBL number and do multiple memberships at the same time by looking up each member of your family and adding them to your order. Make sure you print, sign and send in the form at the end of your order to USA BMX. Print a copy of your receipt to claim your free gift at the track. 

To show appreciation to volunteers, there will be a monthly drawing for those that helped out at the track. When you come to the track, sign up to score, corner marshal, etc, make sure your name is somewhere on the "volunteer" paperwork. At the beginning of each month, a volunteer's name will be drawn and awarded a prize.

Curiosity Club

Curiosity Club- Learning and Exploring
The Curiosity Club kids will be meeting again starting on Tuesday, April 10th for four weeks. During this session, kids will be going on a Rain Forest adventure, exploring animal habitats, having a beach party and learning about community helpers. Held at the Tonaquint Nature Center, but sign up at the St. George Rec Center.

Session Times: 10:30am OR 1:30 pm
