Cotton Days
May 7 - 13, 2011
Washington City's annual week-long celebration of the city's heritage & traditions.

Events:

May 7:
Ironman City Festival 8am-11am
Buena Vista BLVD and Main St.
Cheer on the Ironman athletes. There will be a FREE Pancake Breakfast served by our Mayor and City Council, Live Entertainment, Vendor Booths, "Iron Man" Eating Contest & Prizes! Wear blue to show your city spirit!

May 10:
Ice Cream Social 7pm
Museum, 25 E. Telegraph

Barrel Racing 6pm-7pm
840 South 100 East
@Millcreek Ranch: With the Goat tail pull, open 2d poles, and 4d poles this will be a real hoot, so come on down and join the fun. The Washington County Barrel Racing Association invites all to join in.


May 11:
Jr Rodeo 5pm-6pm
840 S 100 E
@Millcreek Ranch/Old Posse Grounds: The lights will be lit at the Old Posse Grounds in Washington, for kids 14 and under to compete in events that include barrel racing, goat tying, breakaway, poles, flag chase, team roping, and much more while competing for trophies and buckles. This year's rodeo will once again include a chicken chase and mutton bustin’ that will allow all kids to come and get a little dirty. So put on your cowboy boots and hats, saddle your horse and c'mon down and enjoy a night of fun, food and entertainment. Show your support for the Cotton Days Jr. Rodeo and join us at 5:00pm on Thursday May 12th, 2009 at the Old Posse Grounds 840 South 100 East, Washington. 


May 13:
Golf Tournament 9:00am - 3:00pm
588 N. Green Springs Dr.
@Green Spring Golf Course: 9 AM Shotgun Start, in a 3-man scramble. $125 includes green fees, cart prizes, Lunch and the payoff.


Youth Fishing Derby 5:30pm - 7:30pm
@Razor Ridge Park: Fishing Derby is being held at the Razor Ridge Park on Tues. May 10th. All 6-13 yr olds are welcome to join us from 5:30-7:30PM. Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish caught and the most fish caught! Bring your own poles.


Team Sorting (Cowboy vs. Cow) 5:30pm - 6:30pm
840 S. 100 E.
@Washington City Posse Grounds: Team Sorting is an up and coming equine event in the US. This family friendly event will be a fun, and wild adventure that even your kids will want to get involved with. There will be prizes for all classifications. Movie in the Park 8:30pm - 9:30pm
@Community Center Park (450 E Community Center Drive): Bring the whole family out to see Disney's Tangled. Food vendors will be present.

May 14:
Breakfast 7am-10am@Community Center Park: Come and enjoy a delicious breakfast of Ham, Eggs and Pancakes in the Park from 7:00AM-10:00AM on Saturday morning prepared by our own Washington Utah Lions Club. Your Mayor, Kenny Neilson, may even serve you personally. 

Dusk til Dawn Softball Tournament 6:30pm - 7:30pm
@City Softball Fields: This all night slugfest is a fun way to get together with family and friends. Put together a team and meet us at the Washington City ball fields. Registration is available until May 11th.

Anniversary Party/Fireworks 6pm-10pmWashington City Community Center
@Washington City Community Center: Join us for the celebration of the season: Light Refreshments, Swimming, Tours, Rock Climbing, Sand Volleyball, & Live Entertainment!
 


Tractor Pull 11am-1pm100 N. 100 W.
Join us for a rip-roarin' good time. Meet in the old Nisson's Foodtown parking lot, and watch while these amazing antique tractors put on a great show.


Hell Hole 5K 7am-9amWashington Parkway and Telelgraph

Cotton Day Parade 9am-10am
@300 E Street (from 550 N to Parkview Drive): Annual Parade. Route has changed this year, Please refer to the Parade Route Information Flyer on cottondays.org
