Jumpin'Jack's will have a special Halloween Carnival and Movie this Monday. The fun Halloween Movie starts at 6pm and the Carnival runs from at 5pm-8pm. There will be face painting, sugar cookie decorating, and some glow-in-the-dark carnival games. Come in your costume. St. George Library "Spooky Story Time" from 6:30-7:30pm. A librarian will read spooky stories around a "campfire." All ages welcome, though parents of young children are invited to stay to keep young children from being frightened.

Washington Library Halloween Story Time from 10:30-11:30am. Wear costumes for a parade. Complete the library’s scavenger hunt sometime between Monday the 29^th – Wednesday the 31^st and earn a treat.

Halloween Weekend in Southern Utah

City of St. George

 

Monster Dash 5K & 1K Fun Run in downtown St. George. 5K starts at 8am and Kids 1K & Zombie Walk starts at 8:30am. Support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah and win prizes for best costume. Register online at www.active.com (keyword monster dash) or call 435-986-9776

Howling Halloween Pet Event includes a parade & costume contest this Saturday at 9:30am. It will be held in the parking lot by the Painted Pony in Ancestor Square. Wear your costume and be ready to play Halloween games like Halloween Bingo, eat treats and make crafts. Enjoy a magic show and have your picture taken by Yellowpix. The Pumpkin Alley Contest has the following age divisions: 6 & Under, 7-11 yrs, 12-17 yrs, 18 & older. Prizes are given to 1^st – 3^rd place and are awarded at 6:30pm.  Dress in Halloween costumes. Visit The Haunted Cave for a scary experience this weekend from 6-11pm. The theme this year is "Area 51-Alien Invasion." This is a fundraising event for Washington County School District Foundation. The Cave is located at 1436 Red Ledge Road, Washington City (at On Site Storage). Here are some spook-tacular activities coming up at the St. George Library:

 

Tuesday, October 16: The Science Club will meet from 6:30-7:30pm to do two activities: "Build-a-Skeleton," and "Dry Ice Bubbles." The Science Club activities are designed for ages 7-11.

Tuesday, October 23: The Art Club will meet from 6:30-7:30. Children will build a Halloween Village to take home including a twisted tree, a haunted house, and ghosts. Art Club activities are designed for ages 7-11.
