This festival in the park will be held at the St. George Town Square.  There will be kids games and rides, food and vendors. Ride the Carousel for free all day! This event is presented by the city of St. George and the Chamber of Commerce.

The Huntsman World Senior Games kicks off with a grand Opening Ceremonies including a  parade of athletes, entertainment, fireworks and the traditional lighting of the Huntsman World Senior Games Cauldron. The show will feature professional entertainers, NASCAR Legend Morgan Shepherd and local school children presenting a Flag Extravaganza, highlighting each of the 65 countries that have participated in the Games since 1987.

Sign up your kids grades 2^nd-7^th for Fun-gineering! Bring an imagination and be ready to partner up to use LEGO WeDo kids and software.

Class sessions are Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 1-4pm and Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 9am-noon. It costs $25 and you can register at the Washington City Community Center.

Curiosity Club

Curiosity Club

for Kids 3-6 yrs old

This is an awesome 4 week class for kids ages 3-6. Both of my children have participated in several session and we all love Curiosity Club and the instructor Ms. Dawn.

Sign up for one of the Tuesday sessions 10:30am or 1:30pm. The topics will include: Germs Everywhere, Going on Safari, 3-2-1 Blast Off, and Great Artists. All classes are held at the Tonaquint Nature Center.

The cost is $20 and you can register at the St. George Rec Center or at www.sgcityrec.org

Pumpkin Festival Oct 13th

12th Annual Pumpkin Festival

Saturday, October 13, 2012

10am - 3pm

 

This fun family event is held at the Cedar City Main Street Park in downtown Cedar City, Utah. For $5, children will receive a wristband which gives them access to all activities at the festival. Activities include:

•  Pumpkin painting
• Cookie decorating
• Pumpkin bowling
• Face painting
• Pumpkin seed spitting
• Bean bag toss
• Special craft by Home Depot

Activities are geared toward preschool and elementary school-aged children. The COOP will provide hot dogs and hamburgers (cost not included in entrance fee). 

The Pumpkin Festival is sponsored by the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business. Proceeds from the event go toward the Women in Business scholarship fund. Each year Women inBusiness award scholarships to women pursuing degrees at an Iron County university or college. Most of the supplies and activities are sponsored by local businesses.
