Washington County Fair
August 8-11, 2012
The Fair opens today! It is free entrance to the fair and only $3 to park. I like the Washington County Fair on Facebook and saw in a post that a train will be giving free rides from the parking lot to the entrance this year. What a great way to start the fun.
Are you ready to stuff yourself in one of the eating contests? All contests are located at the contest pavilion (near the large outdoor arena). Here is a schedule:

LOCATION: Washington County Regional Park. Take I-15 to the Hurricane Exit (Exit 16 -- SR-9). Go approximately 3 miles. Turn right across from Quail Creek Reservoir. Look for the flags!
COST: Parking Fee $3 per car. There is NO entrance fee to fair.
THere was also a great little parade downtown on Saturday morning from Bluff to Mainstreet put on by the fair. I think it was a revival of many 4th of July floats but my kids loved it.
