Iron County Fair

The Iron County Fair looks like it will have it all this year! There are some fun activities for kids which caught my attention. My kids would enjoy the parade, petting zoo, and the sawdust scramble. There is also a carnival, contests, a rodeo, and a car show. Below is a schedule of events:

Friday, Aug 31
Exhibits: Noon - 10 pm
Concessions: 3 pm - midnight
Carnival: 4 pm - midnight
Petting Zoo: 3 pm - 7 pm
Entertainment Tent: 3:30 pm - 7 pm
Contest Tent: 5 pm
Broken Heart Rodeo: Grandstands, 7 pm ($6 Adults, $3 Children, Students $5)
Dance: Entertainment tent, 9 pm - 12:30 am (music by Eric Dodge)
Saturday, Sep 1
Tractor Caravan-Cedar to Parowan - through the Gap: 9 am - 1:30 pm
Tractor Show-Parowan Lion’s Park: 1:30 pm - 4 pm
Cedar City Radio Control Club Flight Demonstration: Valentine Peak Complex 10 am
Baby Contest: Entertainment Tent, 10 am with sign up at 9:30 am
Exhibits: 10 am - 10 pm
Carnival & Concessions: 10 am - midnight
Entertainment Tent: Noon - 7 pm
Contest Tent: Open 11 am
Ranch Rodeo: 9 am - 5 pm
Jr. Livestock Show: 10 am rabbits/11 am chickens/12 noon pets
Petting Zoo & Sawdust Dig: 10 am - 7 pm
Broken Heart Rodeo: Grandstands, 7 pm ($6 adults, $3 children) – Fireworks after rodeo
Childhood Cancer Awareness-Fill the stands with Orange
Dance: Entertainment Tent, 9 pm after rodeo (music by Most Wanted)
Sunday, Sep 2
Exhibits, Carnival, Concessions: 4 pm - 10 pm
Tractor Show: Parowan Lion’s Park, All Day
Sunday Evening Program: Parowan High School Auditorium, 7 pm (Free to the public)
Monday, Sep 3
5K Fun Run: South Pole of Fair Grounds, 8 am Walk & Run 8:30am
Bike Run: Valentine Peak Complex, 8 am
Car Show: Parowan Lions Park, 10 am - 2 pm. Free registration breakfast 7 am - 9 am
Parade: Parowan Main Street, 10 am THEME: 140 YEARS OF FUN
Horseshoe tournament: 10 am association members and Noon—amateur
Petting Zoo & Sawdust Dig: Noon - 6 pm
Entertainment Tent: Noon - 8 pm
Tractor Show: Parowan Lion’s Park, noon - 3:00 pm
Carnival: 10 am - 10 pm
Concessions: 10 am - 8 pm
Exhibits: Noon to 5 pm - Exhibit Pick-Up: 5:30 - 7 pm
Contest Tent: Open 1 pm
Iron County’s Got Talent Finals: 2:30 pm
UHRA TB & QH Horse races: Post Time 1 pm ($6 adults, $3 children)
Bull Wars: Grandstand, 7 pm ($6 Adults, $3 Children)
