Each week kids can participate in a new and fun activity at the library. Many librares have summer activities going on. Here is what the Washington City Library is doing:

June 9th - Home Depot "Build It Yourself" project @ 3pm & 4pm (sign up ahead of time)
June 16th @ 4pm - Learn about Japan
June 22nd @4pm - Magician Al Lamkin
June 30th @ 4pm - Learn about Samoa
July 7th @ 4pm - "The Wonderful World of Bugs"
July 14th - Lowe's building project @ 3pm & 4pm (sign up ahead of time)
July 21st @ 4-6pm - Swim party at Washington Community Center. If you attended at least one summer program it is FREE! 
July 27th @ 4pm - "McMazing Tales Puppetry"

Family Tennis

Family Tennis Camp

Beginner and Intermediate - Ages 6 and up

Friday, June 3 @ 5-7:30pm & Saturday, June 4 @ 8am-Noon

Fee: $30/person or $100/family of 4
Includes t-shirt & graduation party on Saturday

Quickstart & Adult camp is designed to help parents and children learn how to play tennis or improve their exisiting strokes, strategy , and tennis etiquette. Great oppoturnity for the whole family to play. Parents and children will be seperated for most of the camp. Some drills and games will be a combination of child and parent.

Memorial Day Swim

Need something to do today, Memorial Day?

The Washington City Community Center's leisure pool will be open from 11am -8pm.

Admission:

$4 for children 4-17 yrs

$5 for adults

Free for children 3 and under

Swimmers under 3 need to wear 3-layer protection.

Aquatic Center

With the largest indoor aquatic center in the State of Utah, Washington City Community Center is set to make a splash! A 10,174 square foot Beach Entry Leisure Pool is complimented by a Lazy River, Hydrotube Slide, Play sets for all ages, a Competition Lap Pool, and an enormous 317 Gallon Dump Bucket will certainly keep you cool!

Running & Triathlon Workshops

There will be a Wasatch Back Relay Clinic Tuesday, May 31st from 6:30 - 8:00 at The St. George Running Center.  They will also be giving out free Coke and Probar products.

 

There will also be a triathlon workshop/demo sponsored by Pearl Izumi and The St.George Running Center at the Gunlock Reservoir this Saturday June 4th at 8:30 am.

"Little Strikers" Soccer Camp & "Little Hoopsters" Basketball Camp

             

These camps are designed for boys and girls ages 5-8. Kids will be introduced to each sport and advance current skills and abilities. Camp t-shirts provided.

Ages: 5-8 yrs

Summer Camp 2011

4-week summer camp for kids ages 3-8. Activities include: science experiments, karate, gymnastics, and an end-of-camp splash party!

Class times: 9:30am-Noon, 10:30am-1pm, or 11:30am-2pm

Session 1: June 6-29th
Learn about energy, force, chemical reactions and weather.

Session 2: July 5-27th
Learn about Earth, space, living things, the human body.

Cost: $100/session $95/member rate
Registration fee: $25 (non-refundable)
*includes a lab coat and splash party
