Admission is FREE! Activities include open kite flying, continuous entertainment and music, concessions, vendors and fireworks. The Kite Festival was started to promote reading in elementary-aged children. Students earn the kites through their school’s reading program. www.dixiekitefestival.com
Personal Note: My kids are not in elementary school yet, but we have attended the kite festival. I pack a lunch and pick up $1 kites at Walmart. It is a lot of fun!
